Is Kate Middleton pregnant? That was certainly the question on everyone's minds, after pictures of her during the Diamond Jubilee showed the usually rail thin Duchess flaunting a potential baby bump!
According to an onlooker, Middleton was spotted in a black belted dress that made it seem as though she and Prince William may be expecting their first child. Though the onlooker confessed that they originally thought it was the lay of the dress, the witness then added, "But if you looked closely, it was a definite baby bump. It was prominent enough to cast a shadow below."
That certainly could bode well for the couple, who have always been open about their desire to start a family. With their first anniversary having recently passed, and with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebration just behind them, why not now?
The same witness also commented on other clues in Kate Middleton's appearance that suggested that the Duchess was expecting:
"She certainly has a glow in her cheeks ... her face is more rounded - and so is her bottom."
Middleton, who is known for her svelte and enviable figure, certainly wouldn't appreciate that sentiment, even if it does turn out that she's carrying on the Royal bloodline!
Until the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge officially announce that they are expecting a child to the public, however, it seems likely that speculation is all that we will have to go by. They have what appears to be a publicly happy marriage and have voiced their desire to be parents one day, so a baby certainly seems to be the logical next step, but it is equally likely that Kate Middleton simply had a bigger breakfast than usual, and chose an unflattering dress to wear out afterwards.
