Back in March, the three Kardashian sisters were slapped with a $5 million dollar lawsuit over the QuickTrim weight loss pills for which Kim, Kourtney and Khloe are spokespeople.
The suit claims that the reality sisters made false statements regarding the effects of the product through magazine ads, commercials, and even social media. On Twitter, Kim said, "Our QuickTrim cleanse will be massive! Khloe has already lost so much weight."
The reality sisters used their fame to get people to purchase the diet pills - this should come as no surprise, as celebrities are paid to do this all the time. Why in the world do people get mad over their own gullibility?
The main ingredient in the QuickTrim pills is caffeine, which is not effective in losing weight, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
The Kardashian sisters naturally want their famous name dropped from the lawsuit. After all, just because they were hired as the faces (bodies) of QuickTrim does not mean they were the ones actually selling the product.
According to the Kardashians, "there's currently no law that holds spokespeople accountable for false advertising -- and it should stay that way."
Seriously, people - quit being so gullible! Kim, Kourtney and Khloe didn't do anything wrong.
