Will Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift possibly collaborate on Selena's upcoming album? The two have long been great friends and they would likely make incredible music together.
According to a report from MTV, Swift collaborated with Selena's boyfriend Justin Bieber on his soon-to-be released album Believe. Will she now make music with the former Wizards of Waverly Place star and popular Love You Like A Love Song and Hit the Lights singer?
Selena took a short break from music in the past few months to work on her film career--branching out and taking more adult-type roles. Now she's ready to go back into the recording studio and hopes her new music will reflect her maturity as well.
"I finished three movies this year, so I'm very happy about that, because it's exactly what I wanted: I wanted to do film for a little bit," she told MTV in a recent interview. "But I am missing music, so we're going to start on the fourth record at the end of this year."
Although plans are in the making, it will be a while yet before Selena is in the recording studio--hopefully with Taylor Swift in tow for at least part of the album. She wants her next album to be completely different from her 2011 hit album When the Sun Goes Down.
"Very different! I want to go for producers that probably wouldn't want me to do their songs," she says. "I just want to knock on their door. I also want to work with Fun. I want to work with just different styles of music."
In addition to Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez also wants to collaborate with the band Fun on her new album. The We Are Young rockers and Selena together--now there's a unique sound, don't you think?
So when does Selena Gomez expect her new album might be released? She's aiming for around July of 2013. Get busy, Selena. Get some pointers from Justin Bieber and maybe even consider collaborating on a tune with him as well.
Selena's new album will no doubt feature some wonderful, unique and far more grown up sounds than fans have heard from the Spring Breakers actor yet!
