Has Beyonce's baby's name, Blue Ivy Carter, finally been explained? When Bey and Jay-Z first chose the unique name, everyone was wondering what it could mean and why it was chosen. Now after months of speculation, the songstress may have finally left a clue to its meaning in a poem she posted on her Tumblr page.
The poem by Rebecca Solnit is titled Field Guide to Getting Lost. It is beautiful and full of depth. It has the word blue sprinkled throughout and the final line is: "This light does not touch us, does not travel the whole distance, the light that gets lost, gives us the beauty of the world, so much of which is in the color blue."
The meaning of the poem will be interperted in many ways by many people. It seems to discuss the emotional being of people but at the same time it could simply be about light, love and inner beauty. Like Blue Ivy, it could be anything.
Beyonce and Jay-Z have left fans wondering once again about what their baby's name could mean and what the inspiration for it could be. Perhaps they will always keep fans wondering and it will be Blue Ivy herself who tells fans the meaning of her name one day.
