You may not have liked The Walking Dead season 2. It sure had its ups and downs, but season 3 is slated to be something you should be looking forward to. The Governor is coming. The prison is coming. Michonne will be officially introduced past that brief glimpse at the character. And to make it even better, Merle will be back—and not as a hallucination.
Walking Dead Season 3 Spoilers
AMC has released a new photo (below) from the upcoming season of Michael Rooker as Merle. It has been known for some time now that he'd be back, but now there are more details just from this photo. Yes, he's missing a hand—he had to leave that back on the Atlanta roof to escape the walkers, and the man who cut off his own hand to survive has some sort of contraption over the stump. But will it turn out to be something that could kill walkers? It wouldn't be surprising if that turned out to be the case.
It looks like the surroundings of the photo are not all that different from the one of the Governor, so it does seem like The Walking Dead season 3 could see the survivors finding Merle when they encounter David Morrissey's character. How will Merle react upon seeing them? T-Dog especially should beware since it was his fault that Merle ended up stuck on that roof and had to cut off his own hand. This means that the upcoming season should finally show the Dixon brothers in an actual scene together instead of just in Daryl's head. But which side will Merle end up on? Whatever happens, it's looking like season 3 is going to be an exciting one. Hopefully it lives up to expectations. With what's coming, it should.
