Whitney Houston's Mom Cissy to Sing Tribute at BET Awards

Cissy Houston will honor her late daughter Whitney Houston with a musical tribute at the BET Awards on July 1st. She will be joined on stage by additional female singers.

According to a report from Access Hollywood, a source close to BET says Cissy Houston will lift her voice in a musical tribute along with "a few top divas," but declined to say exactly with whom she will be singing.

Can you imagine how difficult it will be for Cissy to sing on stage in memory of Whitney? She passed away in February at the age of 48. Cissy Houston has barely had time to heal from her daughter's untimely and tragic death.

The BET Awards will air in Los Angeles from The Shrine Auditorium on July 1st. Top nominees include Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Kanye West.
