According to a report from Hollywood Life, reports say Ian is 'dying' to put a ring on Nina'
s finger but that she is in no rush whatsoever to become engaged.
It seems the ten-year age difference between The Vampire Diaries co-stars may be part of the reason Nina Dobrev wants to wait, but not in the way you may think. She simply wants more time to devote to her career before settling down and starting a family--time that Ian has already had. It seems like Ian is very accepting of her wishes, too.
"Ian is 10 years older than she is, and more than ready to make it official. But he said he understands her need to wait a little longer," a source says.
Even though he understands, Ian Somerhalder would be thrilled beyond belief if Nina changed her mind and opted to get engaged sooner rather than later.
"Ian will put a ring on it the moment Nina gives him the thumbs-up," the source says.
