"Call Me Maybe" Singer Carly Rae Jepsen graces the cover of the June issue of Billboard magazine. Inside its pages the Canadian singer, who credits Justin Bieber with a hefty portion of her success, talks about working hard and meeting her goals.
According to a report from Just Jared, the 26-year-old explains how it feels to be what some are calling an overnight success.
"Pretty much every day, there's a moment where I'm having to pinch myself and think, 'When did this happen to my life?'" she says.
Manager Scooter Braun, who also manages Justin Bieber, says he told her right up front that her foray into the music world wasn't going to be an easy one.
"I sat down Carly in my backyard and said, 'This is not going to be fun. You're going to be so tired.' And she looked at me and said, 'Scooter, I don't care how hard I have to work. I'm going to do it. This is what I've wanted my entire life.'"
There's no doubt Carly Rae Jepsen has done exactly that--worked hard. She's spent countless sleepless nights singing, recording, traveling and meeting the many obligations that come with stardom.
Carly Rae Jepsen finally has what she's wanted her whole life--and a Billboard magazine cover to boot. Fans know that "Call Me Maybe" is but the tip of the proverbial iceberg for this phenomenal entertainer.
