Prince William and Kate Middleton love living in the country and with a royal pregnancy expected in the near future, they will appreciate any time they can get away from the London spotlight. Queen Elizabeth has given her future heir to the throne his very own country cottage to escape to when he and his wife need a little break from the hectic city life.
Will and Kate will soon be moving into the life of full-time Royals and with that, comes a great deal of pressure. They will be moving into Kensington Palace next year and will be forced to give up their cottage in North Wales when Will's service with the RAF expires. The cottage has given the couple a great deal of privacy during their first year of marriage and has allowed them to have some semblance of normality. When their North Wales cottage is gone, so is that private, normal life they have come to cherish.
Kate and William reportedly love the Queen's massive Sandringham estate. According to insiders, the Queen has given Will and Kate their very own cottage on the 200,000 sprawl to call their own. "A property is definitely being made available to William and Kate this year and a plan is in place for William to have his own place on the estate," an insider reveals.
The generous gift will give the couple a place to lay low if and when Kate becomes pregnant. The source adds, "He's a country boy and loves Norfolk, just like his father and his grandparents. It's a lovely, peaceful place, and William adores it."
Kate Middleton also loves the great outdoors and will be able to walk the ground freely without worrying about paparazzi or spies peaking in. The cottage will be the perfect place for a romantic weekend retreat for the Will and Kate.
