Kate Gosselin Compares Kids to Von Trapp Family!

Does Kate Gosselin really think that her kids are that famous? With her children all singing before dinner, Kate offered up an interesting question (and not cook dinner). She tweeted about whether people bother to Google the names of her children.

Kate made sure to let all her twitter followers know that her little angels were singing. Gosselin tweeted, "My kids are waiting for dinner... all 8 singing octaves together... Are we the next Von Trap family? Are our hills alive with the Sound of Music?"

Of course, it wasn't long before Kate Gosselin tweeted a comment about the musical abilities of her children. "..if you heard the sound of music my kids are making, you would surely say 'NO WAY!'" This begs the question whether she means "no way" as in they would never stand a chance, or not?

The next thing you know, Kate Gosselin is comparing her eight children to the Von Trapp kids (at least the version depicted in the musical). Having watched the movie several times, she and her kids could only come up with the names of five of the children. This made her then wonder about the fame of her own children.

"All these lists of Von Trapp kids makes me wonder..." tweeted Kate. "Do people also try to recall all Gosselin kids and google the ones they forgot? Hmmmm.."

Hmmm is right. Just because her children were on a reality television show doesn't mean that everyone can name them or even wants to take the time to Google their names. The quick and easy answer for Kate on that question is "highly doubtful."

I'm convinced that Kate has finally gone off the deep end with her delusional thinking. She nor her children have any marketable talents. I just wonder how long it's going to be before she finally accepts that reality and quietly fades into obscurity.

Apparently, it will be a long, long time. Remember when they got the piano and a major whoopdie-doo was made over not getting fingerprints all over it? They were barely allowed to touch the thing. Remember the violin lessons? These are NOT children will a natural musical ability. Nor was there an interest in learning - just a lot of tears and arguing. Just sayin'.

You know, I haven['t found any Gosselin posts recently - without checking out some writer's posts - or commenter's. Perhaps KG threatened Gather so that only people who really really really liked her would go searching for articles about her wondrous activities!

It obviously is very hard for Kate to accept "has been"status..I think that for her own and her kids mental health, she needs to go ahead and try to live a regular "mediocre" life and put the past in the past...She can't just be grateful for having all those opportunities for several years...She thinks it's something she's "entitled"to for the rest of her life!!!I feel so sorry for the kids with how it must be in that house living with a raging lunatic narcissistic mother...Anyone want to take bets on how long before she gives up and accepts reality???

Fame is fleeting and for reality "stars" I would guess it is even faster afoot. Sad, that Kate is wondering if the public googles her kids to check out their names. I serioulsy doubt these kids wonder or worry about this except that it is so obviously important to Kate. I hope she didn't compare the kids by how many people remembered their names or not.

Doesn't that just reek of insecurity? Methinks Kate does Google herself and the kids quite a bit. We also know for fact that she read articles about herself on this site (especially Effie's sunshine and light posts).
I can't even imagine what it must feel like to base your validation on how many people know your kids middle names. It's all just a wee bit creepy and dysfunctional.

LOL -- I don't even know the Gosselin childeren's first names except Mady. Kate mentions the twins by name far more than the sextuplets. They are adorable kids in the way all children are adorable. The fact I do or do not know their names does not reflect on their value in the world -- except to perhaps Kate and that is very dysfunctional.

The Von Trapp family had that whole Rodger and Hammerstein musical with Julie Andrews to dazzle us with her amazing talents to tell their story. I couldn't confidently name a single Von Trapp child. They were the Von Trappy family and the family *heroics* transcended individual identity. Sadly, the Gosselin children will always be trapped with the name and dysfunctional notoriety of the parents. Hopefully, they will be able to find an identity for themselves beyond Kate's need or approval.

I don't know how Kreider expects the public to remember the children's names when she can't seem to remember she's no longer a "Gosselin". Oh, wait, she had to hold on to the name because of her "brand".

To have any success in life, no matter the endeavor, one must bring something to the table. That something is talent or expertise. It may be inherent or mastered. Let's look at Kate. She admits she can't dance, has shown no acting skills, nor singing talent. Question remains, why should she have a reality show? Is it her warmth, her charm, her personaility, it must be something. Can't be because her son says "when is the TV crew coming" Maybe, someone cvan help me because I'm stumped.

Kate thinks she should have a talk show because she has "the gift of gab". We've all seen her interviews. So not gonna happen for her.

Gab and rhetoric nonsense are two different things. If you want people to listen to you, first they must like you and then find you interesting. My background was sales and sales management. Before they like your product they must like you. Can't speak for anyone else but I find her full of herself and a complete turnoff.
