Love in the Wild is getting good. Last week, the men had their chance with two ladies and switched things up in the game. This week, it's couples only.
The show started with everyone ragging on Jesse after the ceremony for sleeping with Tara and then dumping her the next day. When Ali learned that information, it made her question his motives with her, since she was his new partner. Starting a new relationship without trust is a shaky way to begin.
The Couples Now
Ben and Michelle—happy together.
Jason and Vanessa—have a great connection and hot chemistry.
Yanina and Ken—adore each other.
Ali and Jesse—she told him to get his hands off her. Oka
y then. She even asked if she could go back and do the ceremony again. Ouch.
Summer and Chase—they're attracted to each other.
Jenna and Ryan—they're cute together, but it's still new.
The next day, Jenny McCarthy taunted the contestants with her coconuts. Get your mind of the gutter. Real coconuts. They had to collect 55 of them and travel down a long, dirt road. When they reached their destination, they traded them for a horse, which they had to ride to the top of the mountain and find a map to continue their journey.
They were given a wheelbarrow to help them, but it was in pieces.
Jesse and Ali fought the entire way, but managed to be the first couple to trade the coconuts for a horse. Before they did that, Jesse managed to make an idiot of himself when he stubbornly insisted on carrying all of the coconuts in the wheelbarrow in one trip—and the wheel fell off and the coconuts rolled all over the road. Ha! He deserved it.
When they retrieved the map, they learned they had to cross over a waterfall on a rope to find a trail to another waterfall. Vanessa and Jason encouraged each other and the chemistry just bounced off them. Yanina and Ken remained solid. Ali was terrified of heights and screamed at Jesse for crowding her space, and told him not to touch her. He didn't listen to her. Does this guy ever back off?
Ken and Yanina were the first to arrive to the next waterfall, where they were supposed to swim under to get the next map. Summer and Chase were hot on their heels, and caught up to them easily.
Vanessa and Jason were in third place. Vanessa easily grabbed the canister holding the map under the waterfall, but it fell out and they didn't see it sink. They fell behind everyone else while searching for the map.
The contestants learned from the new map that they had to pick up some tools and hike up the mountain farther and cut down at least 50 pounds of bananas. They were supposed to drop them on the scales and run for the finish line where Jenny McCarthy was waiting for them.
Summer and Chase, and Ken and Yanina passed the tools as they raced for first place. They had to go back for the tools. In the meantime, Jenna and Ryan passed them. So did Jesse and Ali.
They had no idea what 50 pounds of bananas looked like, so Ryan insisted on waaaay overdoing it. Ben and Michelle passed them when they were gathering bananas.
Since Ben and Michelle had trouble at the scales, Jesse and Ali swooped in and won.
Vanessa and Jason came in last. Aww, how many of you were rooting for them to win?
At the Oasis, Ali let Jesse know she wasn't interested in him and called him the one night stand that wouldn't go away. She didn't even want to get to know him as a person because he was so annoying.
Ken took Yanina to the beach for some romantic time.
At the couples ceremony, Ali and Jesse had first choice since they won. Ken spoke up and called Jesse out for being manipulative and didn't want him to break up him and Yanina.
Ali chose Ben as her new partner. He was not happy about it and neither was Michelle.
Jesse said a wrench was thrown into his decision, since he was going to remove himself from the competition. He chose Michelle. Now, this should get interesting.
Jenna and Ryan stayed together.
Yanina and Ken stayed together, as expected. Jenny asked him if he was sweating out Jesse's power. He said Jesse was strategic and might see him as a competitor. Jesse spoke up and said what Ken calls scheming was getting the right people together. Ken popped back about what he did to Tara. Jesse called her collateral damage. Wow. Were you shocked that no one punched him right then and there? They continued to argue.
Summer and Chase stayed together.
That means Vanessa and Jason were going home. Nooo! They seemed to have a connection that would work long-term. Are you bummed about them being eliminated from Love in the Wild?
What do you think about Jesse?
