Savannah Guthrie has been named as Ann Curry's replacement on The Today Show and she reportedly sits in the co-anchor seat alongside Matt Lauer starting on Friday morning.
According to a report from Hollywood Life, Ann Curry said goodbye to her viewers on Thursday and with a heavy heart bid adieux to The Today Show family. At the time of Ann's farewell, no word was given on her replacement.
Now it seems Guthrie will open the show on Friday in the co-anchor's spot and it will be announced some time during the program that she is the replacement for Ann Curry's position.
How do you feel about Savannah Guthrie taking over for Ann? Were you hoping she would get the job or did you think Hoda Kotb was a better option?
It will certainly be interesting to observe the new dynamics on The Today Show in the coming days to see if the overall feeling is one of calm and camaraderie or if feathers continue to be ruffled due to this latest change.
