Chris Brown has been the center of attention (mostly for the wrong reasons) for quite a while now. Even recently, Brown has new music ready to drop, but the release is overshadowed by a bar brawl with Drake and constant rumors about Rihanna and his girlfriend Karrueche Tran. Breezy could use a little good news.
Well, Chris Brown can breathe a sigh of relief, at least when it comes to fellow R&B artist Brandy. In a recent interview, Brandy Norwood actually defended Chris, saying that his artistry should overshadow all the other mess that seems to follow him.
In an interview, Brandy was asked about working with the troubled singer and she was quick to come to his defense:
I just feel like everybody goes through things in their life, and it's not my place or anybody's place to judge, I just know that Chris is a fantastic artist and he's always been supportive of me as an artist, and I just wanted to work with him because he's great at what he does.
Obviously, this is the conundrum that fans have when it comes to looking at Chris Brown. Is it possible to look past the anger issues, the blow-ups, and the legal woes and only see (and hear) the artist for what he is... one of the top talents in the world today?
