Katie Holmes is not taking any chances with her daughter's safety. Clearly, this is a woman concerned with her husband, Tom Cruise's response to her divorce filing. She is cutting all ties with Tom and his Scientology pals. She carefully plotted her divorce in the weeks, most likely months, before actually making her move. So far, it looks like she has covered every base.
Over the weekend, reports Katie was being watched by members of Scientology hit the airwaves. Pictures of armed men sitting outside Katie's apartment building seem to support the story. Although it is entirely likely the organization is keeping close tabs on Tom's soon-to-be ex, there is another explanation for the burly stalkers.
Katie hired a new security team to safeguard herself and Suri Cruise. Neighbors reported the strange men and claimed Katie was afraid Tom Cruise would attempt to kidnap Suri, but police could do nothing because Katie never made a complaint.
Apparently, the 33-year-old mother is not convinced the security team she normally has would be willing to ignore her husband's demands. She fired her regular driver and bodyguard and is now being guarded by five to six men.
Katie Holmes is handling the situation with careful cunning and will hopefully manage to hold on tight to her daughter throughout the coming divorce storm.
