The Real Housewives of New York star Sonja Morgan was friends with Bethenny Frankel before she sold her SkinnyGirl cocktail line to Jim Beam, so she knows the potential of working hard and using her reality television platform. Of course, Sonja doesn't have a cocktail line, but she has already branded herself on her toaster oven idea. On the show, she keeps telling people how much she loves her toaster oven and she is convincing people that buying a toaster oven is the way to go.
So, rather than selling dieting advice and healthy living like Bethenny, Sonja is taking a simple, yet rustic approach. She is following in Bethenny's footsteps, but doing it with a toaster oven. In a recent interview, The Real Housewives of New York star Sonja Morgan dishes on her new toaster oven cookbook, which will surely just be the first thing fans will get from her.
"I had to go back and redo the toaster oven book to make it a lifestyle book. The thing is, the people who watch the show and want to buy the book, they want more than just recipes," Sonja recently shared. "So when I went to the publishers, they really liked it, but [sigh] it was just recipes. So I'm redoing it to have it be a little bit more about the up-dos, the smokey eye, where I picked up my recipes, my yoga, about my diet routine, and about how I stay fit and all that. It's in the rework." It sounds like she is learning how to use her reality television platform to get her success. And since Sonja has so many interns to help her out, one has to wonder just when the book will be complete.
So, when will Sonja's toaster oven be ready? "That's taking awhile because it's being made overseas. But we're working on it."
It sounds like fans will have to wait just a little longer.
