Lawyers for Tom Cruise say any settlement between the Rock of Ages star and Katie Holmes must involve Suri. The little girl is reportedly the deal maker in the divorce negotiations.
According to a report from TMZ, if there is a settlement, it will only happen if Tom gets "meaningful, significant contact with his daughter."
"She is the primary concern in his life," sources say.
Katie Holmes has filed for sole custody of little Suri. Do you think she'll bend on this
stipulation in order to receive a settlement?
So far, sources for Katie are saying that Tom will in fact be allowed to spend time with his daughter after he is done shooting the film he's working on in the Rockies. However, beyond this kind of visitation, it's unclear what sort of concessions Katie is willing to make.
Do you think Tom Cruise will bend on raising Suri in the Church of Scientology if Katie Holmes bends on gaining sole custody? Will the Church of Scientology allow its most prominent member to not raise his child in the church?
How sad that Suri--as the deal maker or breaker in these settlement negotiations--has clearly become a pawn in her parents' divorce.
