Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson are getting the star treatment this week as part of a new journalism project on Tumblr.
Apparently, One Direction pandemonium has taken over the blogging site and as a result, Tumblr's newest project called "Storyboard" was formed.
This week, Storyboard will be featuring the fans of One Direction. You know the ones. They're crazy about the five British boys and know everything from their birth dates to their middle names and hometowns.
In a post on Storyboard about the five most important dates in fans minds, there is one in particular that stands out. It's called "The End" and it happened on July, 1, 2012.
This was the day when the boys US tour ended and Harry Styles did a pelvic thrust from Magic Mike on stage.
Fans, unsurprisingly, went wild and many even said the moment made their "ovaries explode".
It's things like this and comments from overly obsessed fans that Tumblr hopes to capture on Storyboard.
Oddly enough, the dedication these fans have to Harry and his band mates can get rather insane. Some fans treat it like schoolwork (and as a result, don't do their schoolwork!) while others will go to extremes to know every last rumor, announcement and tweet that comes from the band.
It may seem crazy but to these dedicated "Directioners", it's their life. Tumblr is taking a closer look at this phenomenon and don't be surprised to see that some of these young fans want to die if they can't get their fix of Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson.
Excessive? Yes. But what else can be expected in an age where everything is instantly shared?
