'Bachelorette' Emily Maynard Calls Ali Fedotowsky's Ex Roberto Martinez

Bachelorette star Emily Maynard is getting ready to pick her final man in about two weeks, but in real life, she is back home with Ricki and getting settled into her new life. A new report reveals that part of her new life is chatting it up with Ali Fedotowsky's ex-fiance Roberto Martinez on the phone. Apparently, the two of them have been chatting in secrecy. Of course, the phone calls are probably being kept secret because Roberto is rumored to be the next Bachelor -- and of course, the network wants to keep the secret long enough to make it all a big surprise when the announcement hits the airwaves.

According to Hollywood Life, Emily is talking to Roberto as a tactic to convince him to sign the contract. Apparently, she is so happy with her conclusion that she wants Roberto to pursue happiness on The Bachelor. And who better to convince Roberto than Bachelorette star Emily Maynard, who is high on love and newly engaged?

"Emily told Robert that the [Bachelorette] was the time of her life and she hates that the experience is over," a source has told the website. "Roberto wants to make sure he's compensated because this is going to change his life forever. The show and the hype around it have gotten a lot more intense."

Rumor is that Roberto is actually asking for upwards of $750,000 to appear on the show, which is a massive amount compared to the $250,000 that Emily received. Surely, she wants to convince him that he has nothing to lose with $750,000 and a potential fiancée.
