Everyone knows that it isn't "official," until it is social networking official and Leah has finally made the leap and changed her Twitter handle! That's right, no longer is she going by Leah Messer (Simms), but rather Leah D. Calvert.
The Teen Mom caught a lot of flack for keeping her name as Simms on Twitter, long after she and Corey divorced. When asked why she hadn't removed the Simms part, she explained that since her Twitter account was verified, she didn't want to lose that. Apparently, though, she must have talked to the folks at Twitter because she still has her blue "verified" check mark!
Leah Messer (err, Clavert now!) showed off her new name on Wednesday night, tweeting, "Dinner Time((:" Leah is pretty humble so it makes sense that she didn't make a big announcement of her new Twitter name, but fans took notice!
Just last night, she was tweeting with fellow Teen Mom Maci Bookout when her name still read as Leah Messer (Simms).
Leah and Jeremy first wed back in April, but were unable to verify the news as per their MTV contracts. However, they had a second wedding last month in South Carolina. While some fans didn't believe that she and Jeremy had tied-the-knot in April (despite the actual officiant of the wedding confirming it), they had no choice but to believe the June wedding as Ok! Magazine published photos from their big day.
Leah has not yet made a public announcement about her wedding, leading some to believe she is not allowed to just yet. However, changing her Twitter name is good enough for fans. She and her husband are currently enjoying some time away while Corey Simms has the girls.
