Katy Perry is the latest celebrity rumored to be replacing Jennifer Lopez as an American Idol judge. Although the other celebrities rumors haven't addressed it, Katy has announced that has been contacted regarding the position.
Katy reveals The Hollywood Reporter, "People have reached out to me about the possibility of being involved, and it's not right for me yet." In other words, she will be open to the gig in the future. Does she not realize how coveted the judge's spot on American Idol is? It may be open now, but that surely won't last. Katy may have missed a great opportunity.
For now, Katy wants to concentrate on her music career before transitioning into television. "I have ideas for two or three big, creative things, and I want to be able to fulfill those ideas." As fans know, all of her ideas are creative -- remember the video for "California Girls?"
Hopefully, Katy Perry isn't referring to more movies. Her documentary just bombed at the box office. It's first weekend, which was expected to bring in $140 million, ended up with just over $7 million. Ouch!
