Kourtney Kardashian just gave birth to baby girl, Penelope Scotland Disick, on July 8. But long before meeting her second child with partner, Scott Disick, Kourtney had set up quite the extravagant nursery for her new little one. As a family insider put it, "[She] was ready for this baby to come. She and Scott had dreamed about a daughter for so long." How sweet!
Kourtney's sisters, Kim and Khloe, no doubt had plenty of input, too, on the glam surroundings for P.S. They must be thrilled at the prospect of playing aunt now, not just to their handsome toddler nephew, Mason, but also to a niece, who they probably cannot wait to dress in the most fashionable baby clothes ever.
And it seems that the not even one-week-old Penelope has a good start on the style front--already! According to OK! Magazine, she has four tutus, two bikinis and a ton of shoes, naturally. She might have the Disick last name, but she may just end up with that Kardashian crush on fashion!
But just because they were having a girl didn't mean that Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick became obsessed with rainbows, ruffles, fairies and the color pink. They smartly avoided an overly saccharine, flounce-y and frou-frou nursery with a design that was more far more chic.
"She was adamant about a clean white or off-white palette for the baby's room," a source said of Kourtney's aesthetic, as Hollywood Life reports. "It's a more understated, elegant girly look. She likes a kind of shabby chic look with accents of blush and pale yellow." Apparently, Kourtney Kardashian's son, Mason, even helped with the nursery and picked out furniture. Mom probably had the final say, though!
The room really sounds calming and beautiful, and thankfully not "baby-ish," so it will no doubt perfectly suit Penelope for some time.
