Miley Cyrus and mom Tish Cyrus are admired for the way they talk about sex. No, the two don't do an advice column or a talk show about sex. Instead they talk frankly with one another on the subject and that sets a great example for other mothers and daughters.
According to a report from Hollywood Life, Miley and Tish's sex talk is an indication of their strong mother/daughter relationship. It seems there aren't enough moms in the world who are perfectly comfortable discussing sex with their teenage daughters.
"A lot of parent
s don't know what their kids are up to or the kids find it embarrassing to talk with their parents about sex. I have always told my mom everything, sometimes even more then she wanted to know. But she gave me some good advice in terms of contraception, which helped me a lot," the former Hannah Montana star says.
How great it would be if all teenage girls could go to their moms the way Miley Cyrus goes to Tish, to talk over huge life decisions like sex and contraception? If that happened, when teens opt to Party in the USA, they'll at the very least be knowledgable about sex and its repercussions.
Kudos to Miley and Tish Cyrus for setting such a fine example for families everywhere.
