Deena Cortese was arrested last month is Seaside Heights, New Jersey, after being caught drunk and disorderly while filming scenes for Jersey Shore's sixth season. Now, she is opening up about what led to the arrest and looking back on what she did wrong.
"I drink and have my 'meatball' days," she says of her on-screen persona. "I keep up my meatball ways, even though sometimes I don't want to. But everybody loves me that way." Although the cast of the show gets paid tons for their appearance, it has clearly taken its toll. Perhaps drinking and partying can get exhausting -- even when you are making the big bucks!
Deena also admits, "I realized, just because I'm on Jersey Shore doesn't mean I can't get into trouble. I was like, 'I have to get my [bleep] together.' I couldn't make it in jail." Deena was seen taking the walk of shame with her parents after being released and judging by the look on her face, she was in shock. Jail is hard for anyone but this guidette is not cut out for such confinement!
The most shocking of her revelations was that the whole thing ordeal was the result of her getting emotional over a break-up. This is news to Jersey Shore fans who thought she and Chris Buckner were together the whole time. Deena explains that after her split from Chris mid-way through the season, she "was sad. I was depressed. I went out and got arrested." On top of that, she was even seen holding hands with some random guy on the boardwalk! Being split from Chris must have been devastating for her.
The good news is, it looks like Deena Cortese are back on now! Fans will have to wait until Jersey Shore's return to find out what happened!
