Tom Cruise has jumped on a plane and flown across the country to see one of the most important ladies in his life, Suri Cruise. This will be his first visit with his daughter since Katie Holmes surprised him with divorce papers a couple of weeks ago.
The actor was spotted carrying Suri into a hotel in New York City. A source talks about Tom's reaction after finally getting the chance to visit his 6-year-old daughter, "He's been dying to see her." Tom has been busy filming Oblivion and without Katie making the effort to bring Suri to Tom, he has not been able to spend any time with her. In fact, the last time Suri and Tom were together is believed to be about mid-June.
A witness who saw the actor carting his daughter into the hotel, says, "Tom looked really happy." No matter how you may feel about Tom and his devotion to a cult-like religion, he is clearly a loving father. Hopefully, he can still have a normal, healthy relationship with his daughter without the influence of Scientology. A source claims Tom Cruise will, "be with her (Suri) whenever he can."
Divorce is never easy, and undoubtedly Tom will be feeling a little bitter with the way Katie Holmes orchestrated things, but it looks as if they are putting that aside and doing what is right for Suri.
