Adam Lambert a Shameless Promoter? Not Really!

Adam Lambert took to his official Twitter today to urge fans to request his latest single on the radio. He tweeted, "Everyone request Never Close Our Eyes today Non-Stop. Its Time for some Glambert HEAT! How bad you want it?! ?#shameless" Anyone that knows Adam is aware that he is far from shameless and is actually a very humble guy. In fact, he rarely ask

s much of his fans, probably because he knows that they have his back, doing everything they can to promote his music.

Of course, when Adam asks his fans to help out, they come out in full force to support their idol. A fan created Twitter account called "Request Adam Lambert" tweeted immediately, "**Per ADAM, REQUEST NCOE at your local & nat'l station(s) TODAY!**" The tweet included links to their website, created to give radio station information for those wanting to request Adam's music. The site includes a list of stations that have played Adam's Never Close Our Eyes at least once or have added the song to their official playlist. The website also includes phone numbers to the radio stations, as well as links to their websites.

Adam Lambert is back in the US after spending most of the last two months in Europe. Now that he is home, it's time for US Glamberts to show their love and request his single! Are you helping Adam and requesting Never Close Our Eyes at your local radio station?

Adam is always promoting everyone else's music--but these artists are so self absorbed they never return the love. Good for him for tooting his own horn/music for once. He has a great album out and our screwed up radio stations will only play their core artists. How do you become a core artist if you don't get exposure. C'mon fans (and he has over 1.5 million of them)--Buy Trespassing (Rolling STone called it the best album so far of 2012) and request Never Close Our Eyes. If he is good enough to front Queen he is good enough for US radio!

If politicians can ask for votes, Adam can too. He knows we will take him as far as he wants to go, we just have to break some resistance.

Adam has been visiting radio stations (prior to his overseas fabulous Queen shows) so much and doing concerts at them trying to get his music played. I doubt Carrie or Kelly or Taylor have to do this. They're songs chart high to begin with and get the spins. I know they have more fans, but it's so disappointing. I admit I stopped playing the radio and will get satellite radio. Adam deserves better. He works so hard. I hope he continues his tour with Queen. He was out of this world.

I think he's just doing what he feels is necessary -- I agree with Mal A. that Adam has been generous about promoting music by artists he admires ... and there seems to be little reciprocation. Something seems "rotten in Denmark," when Trespassing has been largely praised by critics and many in the music industry ... and yet is getting hardly any airplay on the radio.

Not just in Denmark, We as public need to determine what gets played. I complain that the media doesn't show or play anything relevant, it's time to take charge and request request request to as many stations, as many times a day our schedules allow. "I'm gonna start a revolution..."

The problem is that most of the radio stations in this country are owned by the far right and Adam does not fit the pretty little picture they want to send out to listeners. Commercial radio is dying and I for one would like to see it buried quickly. Internet and build your own stations are much better for the industry on the whole. They actually play all kinds of music instead of the same 15 songs over and over and over all day long.
