Amber Portwood, star of Teen Mom, is currently in prison in Indiana and new details are being revealed about how long she will remain there and what is available to her in the facility.
Although her sentence was five years, Amber will be able to get out of prison in just two-and-a-half years as long as she doesn't act out. In addition to her shortened sentence, Amber will be able to see her daughter in the prison's family center. The area where her daughter will visit her even has toys, so Amber and Leah will be able to play together.
It is certainly not the ideal place for Leah to grow up, but at least she will be able to see Amber on occasion. Plus, having Leah around will remind Amber what's important and give her light at the end of the dark tunnel that she's currently living in.
Amber was unable to see her daughter until she went through the required diagnostic process at the Rockville Correctional Facility in Indiana. After they decided to keep her at that facility, she was allowed visitation. Amber had to have been going crazy while not being allowed access to her daughter!
Amber Portwood will go to anger management classes during her stay at the facility and even has to option to get her high school diploma and take adult education classes. Hopefully, Amber will take this opportunity to better herself.
