Khloe Kardashian Odom and Kris Jenner on daytime? Yes, maybe so! And undoubtedly with plenty of special appearances by the rest of the Keeping up with the Kardashians group, the likes of Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian, as well as Kendall and Kylie Jenner. But can this mother-daughter duo successfully hold court as full-time talk show hosts, which demands an entirely different skill set than that required for plain, simple reality TV? They certainly have the sassy personalities, which is a step in the right direction for sky-high ratings.
Apparently (and not surprisingly), the momager is quite keen on parlaying her and her family's star factor to a small-screen gab fest. "Kris thinks a mother-daughter talk show would be brilliant. At first Khloe was interested in hosting her own talk show, but Kris started toying with the idea of being her co-host. They want to make it family friendly and discuss all different types of subjects from infertility to sister rivalry. They also want to have celebrity guests on the show starting with Kanye and Kim!" a friend of the family has revealed to Hollywood Life.
Indeed, just based on their relationships and status in the star-studded realm of Hollywood, the family already has a built-in network of "celebrity" guests from whom to choose, including Kimye.
The talk show certainly sounds like a promising idea in theory, and a relatively fresh one, given the mother-daughter concept. Despite what one thinks of the Kardashian antics, it's hard to deny their mass appeal among fans, followers and even those who may disapprove of their reality empire, but who tune in just to "keep up."
And Kris wouldn't be the first reality TV show mom to talk it up. Bravo firecracker and SkinnyGirl starlet Bethenny Frankel recently launched her first season of hosting a daytime show—to mixed reviews. And former MTV matriarch Sharon Osbourne has done it, too, currently putting her British humor to good use on the appropriately named series, The Talk.
No doubt Kris Jenner and her daughter, Khloe Kardashian, could create plenty of buzz with such a series. And, from the sound of it, their show could already be in the works, as the friend also commented that it would be "part of their $40 million dollar deal with E!." The fact that Kris and Khloe are also known to butt heads a bit and have seemingly had their fair share of tiffs? All the better for ratings, right?!
