Sweet and short dresses were on trend at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards in Universal City on July 22. Sparkle actress Jordin Sparks and pop star Taylor Swift tried the trend on the pink carpet.

Just Jared was on hand to note who wore what at the Gibson Amphitheatre event. Jordin Sparks sparkled in a black Chagoury dress. The halter number featured a sequined, floral design bodice and a cute bubble skirt. Her Prada heels' violet hue was a great idea, but Jordin's dress would have looked better with a more dressy heel. Beautiful Simon G. jewelry and a bracelet by Jason Derulo completed her attire.
Lately Taylor Swift has been a red carpet success with more sophisticated dresses. For the Teen Choice Awards, Taylor dialed it down and opted for something younger and definitely more appropriate for the occasion. The Safe and Sound singer wore a romantic Maria Lucia Hohan dress. The white, draped number looked lovely on Taylor. A wavy updo, Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, an Edie Parker clutch, and Prada peep-toes completed her outfit.
