Selena Gomez's Momma Gives First Red Carpet Interview

Selena Gomez is one proud daughter and wants the world to know. She is very close to her mom, Mandy Teefey, and does not mind telling anyone. Selena tweeted about a very important event in Mandy's life, "So happy for Momma and Brian @lh7management I think this is my Mom's first red carpet interview."

Mandy looked a bit nervous, but thankfully, her expert interviewer helped put her at ease. Despite the nerves, she looked fabulous. Apparently, her glamorous look had a little help from Selena's own hair and makeup team. Isn't that sweet of Selena to share the spoils of fame with her mom?

Piper Reese, otherwise known as Princess of the Press, talked with Mandy at an event for the Alliance for Children's Rights. It is a group that helps the thousands of kids who are in the foster care system in the Los Angeles area. Mandy became interested in the organization and Selena quickly followed suit. Selena's mom revealed she is going through training so she can one day mentor a child. Do you think she has what it takes to become a mentor?

She is obviously qualified. Mandy managed to raise Selena Gomez to be a positive role model, which is a tremendously tough job in Hollywood. Selena may soon be trying her hand at mentoring as well. The actress's mother joked about the grey hairs on her head and claimed they were earned after she successfully navigated her young daughter through the turbulent waters that accompany showbiz.
