A pair of Downton Abbey actresses got together at Selfridges in London on July 24. Laura Carmichael and Joanne Froggatt attended a cocktail party for the launch of Karl Lagerfeld's new collections, including one that's just in time for the Olympics.
Karl Lagerfeld's Olympic pop-up shop in the department store showcased the collection in all its gold-splattered glory, from collars, to jackets, to second-skin pants.
Joanne Froggatt, fresh from her Summer TCA Tour in California, took a cue from Mr. Lagerfeld's metallic theme. Joanne paired a black, gold-speckled draped top with super skinny pants and sexy Nicholas Kirkwood lace-up booties. It was nice to see Joanne wearing something young and edgy as she usually goes for very ladylike dresses with soft silhouettes.
Laura Carmichael wore Karl Lagerfeld...literally. The Downton Abbey actress wore a casual t-shirt with the designer's profile on it. Like Joanne, Laura shimmied into skin-tight pants. She completed her cool girl attire with a Karl "Jela" blazer and chunky black sandals.
