While Arie Luyendyk, Jr. seemed absolutely devastated when he was rejected by Bachelorette Emily Maynard on the show's finale and on the live After the Final Rose, where he revealed that he actually flew to Charlotte afterwards to see her, a new interview shows that he's in a much better place. So much so that he wishes nothing but the best for her and would even go to her wedding! In an exclusive interview with Wetpaint, the rejected Indy race car driver said that if he receives an invite, he would definitely go to Emily Maynard and Jef Holm's wedding.
"Of course! I wish Em and Jef the very best and if I was asked to be at their wedding, I wouldn't miss it for the world. I am so happy for them and knowing both of them so well, I can see they are really meant for each other," he said when asked if he would go to their wedding when the time comes.
He also shared that despite not getting the final rose, he would not have changed a thing about his time on the show. "I can honestly say I was 100% myself and I would not have changed a thing. I was really grateful for the experience and I was so lucky to have had a connection with Emily. It made my time on the show very enjoyable. It was a wild ride," he said.
His fans are now calling for him to be the next Bachelor. What does he think about that? "I went into the Bachelorette with zero expectations and I found love. It was very hard to move forward, but I still hold the same hope in my heart that someone out there will, someday, be the perfect fit. It would be a very tough decision to open myself up again like that, but I do know I'm ready to find someone. You never know!"
He has stiff competition to be the next Bachelor from Sean Lowe, another fan favorite. Producers can also go with a totally unknown person. Even if Arie Luyendyk, Jr. doesn't return to national TV, he will surely not be short of love prospects since he's shown, throughout the Bachelorette and in interviews afterwards, that he has a great heart and personality.
