Niall Horan Wishes He Were Like Michael Phelps

One Direction's Niall Horan made a shocking revelation today. The lone Irish member of the UK boyband admitted that he wished he were like United States Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps.

It's not surprising that Niall and the rest of the One Direction guys (Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik) would have Olympics on the brain right now. Aside from the fact that the 2012 summer games commenced yesterday in London with the opening ceremonies, the 1D guys will have the opportunity of a lifetime—the boyband is among those scheduled to perform during the closing ceremonies of this summer's games.

Today, Niall Horan responded to a tweet about the swimming portion of the Olympic games. Niall tweeted: "<s>@</s>georgie_hawkes yeh I'm the same, watchin' the heats of the swimmin' on the telly! Just wanna be like Phelps."

Of course, for those who have already seen the start of the men's swimming, Michael Phelps has had a rough start. Thankfully, there are more chances still for him to win a medal.
