Yesterday, One Direction's Zayn Malik, in an effort to interact more with his fans, asked Directioners what they thought of the opening ceremonies of the 2012 Summer Olympics, which commenced yesterday in London.
Zayn has been trying hard recently to put forth a greater effort to communicate with his fans and use the social media site, Twitter, more in general. Typically, Directioners would hear from Zayn only once or twice over the course of a few weeks. Nowadays, Malik is tweeting multiple times in a single day, which makes Directioners much happier.
Zayn engaged in conversation with a few of his fans, who asked the One Direction member about his favorite Olympic event to watch and also what sport Malik would most like to compete in.
Zayn revealed that his favorite Olympic event is boxing. Zayn went on to say that, if he were not in 1D and could compete in the Olympic games, he'd most want to be on the boxing team. Then, remembering that there is also basketball in the Olympics, he decided that basketball would be cool as well.
Zayn Malik might not be a competing athlete in this summer's Olympics, but he and the other One Direction guys, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson, will be performing at the 2012 closing ceremonies, which is an opportunity of a lifetime for them all.
