Every single foreign actor who comes to Bombay to work gets asked which Bollywood star they love most. And like clockwork, they almost all say Aishwarya. Why? Because they're ignorant, that's why. So few western actors have any clue about Indian cinema that they reach for the only Indian actor they've ever heard of, and for most, Aish fits that description.
That's not to say Aishwarya isn't a great actress (she can be downright phenomenal at times). It's just that she's one of the few B-town actors who has international recognition. So it's almost expected that someone like Sunny Leone might have her name on their lips when the inevitable question comes.
But hold on! Sunny Leone isn't just any foreigner. She's a desi girl! As she says in her latest interview, she grew up watching Bollywood with her family. So Aishwarya's name isn't one she pulled out of thin air—Sunny knows what she's talking about. According to her, Aishwarya is "gorgeous," as are Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone. High praise indeed from an equally beautiful actress!
It's only natural that Sunny would find Aishwarya gorgeous; after all, the Bachchan bahu isn't known as "the most beautiful woman in the world" for nothing. But Sunny probably didn't look to her for inspiration for her Bollywood debut—Jism 2 is a raunchy erotic thriller. Quite the opposite sort of film from Aishwarya's usual elegant roles. And unless Aishwarya's much-anticipated comeback takes a turn toward blue films, it's unlikely she'll be looking to Sunny for any kind of inspiration!

@arya parikh: Nice try. Hello Magazine named Rai "most elegant woman of 2003" after winning an online poll, not most beautiful. And every other one of those magazines including People Magazine included her in their lists AFTER she promoted herself as "the most beautiful woman in the world." She was introduced as such on Letterman and Oprah in 2005 and then later on Martha Stewart and Tyra because of the same reason; again, no poll or magazine named her "most beautiful" before this. And no, I don't care for Angelina Jolie and find her harsh looking and underweight, but even she is better-looking than Rai. Also, I'm aware Rai was not hyped in the Indian media; that's why she ran to "Hollywood" and convinced Indians she was a big name in the west when she is not. And also, western stars use her name when promoting films in India because they know people like you will be receptive to it. She is a complete unknown in Hollywood.
