On the most recent episode of Teen Mom, fans watched as Amber Portwood returned home from rehab only to have a hard time adjusting back to normal life. Not only that, but she also has a hard time getting along with Gary Shirley. For fans, it is hard to watch these scenes, knowing how things end.
Amber is currently in prison, serving a five-year sentence and unable to see her daughter grow the way she would like. Luckily, Leah has an amazing father who does all he can for that little girl, but he admits that it isn't always easy!
On Tuesday night, Gary tweeted, "Truth is parenting solo while trying to do everything right for your child takes a lot of sacrificing. Learning this over and over. My daughter is the greatest gift I've ever received. I'm hurt that she can have both parents involved."
Every little girl needs her mother, and Amber Portwood is able to have visits with her daughter, but it just isn't the same. However, getting clean is the best thing that the Teen Mom can do, not only for herself, but also for her daughter, and if prison will help her achieve that, then it was certainly a good choice.
Of course, prison isn't exactly the best place to be, but Amber is dealing with it the best that she can. One thing that is helping her get through this ordeal is the support from her fans. Even though there are a lot of people who berate her, she also has a lot of people who want to see her get through this.
Gary tweeted, "On another note Amber is so grateful for letters. She said they help and a Lao no need for stamps DOC takes them."
With good behavior, Amber has the opportunity to be out of prison in a little over two years. Until then, Gary Shirley will continue to raise Leah the best that he can, and there is no denying he will do a great job.
