Just one day after it learning an arrest warrant got issued for actor Cuba Gooding, Jr., the warrant got rescinded. All the drama began when Gooding and some of his friends decided to party at a New Orléans bar. Unfortunately, Gooding couldn't enjoy the time out with his buddies because fans kept cutting in for pictures and autographs.
Eventually, the actor allegedly lost his cool and got a bit boisterous. That's when a female bartender supposedly stepped in to ask him to tone things down. One thing led to another and before everything was over, Gooding pushed the woman in question. When a colleague of hers went to call 911, the Gooding party decided to make a quick exit. Rumor has it, he pushed the woman again on his way out the door.
That might have been the end of it, but the woman filed a complaint with the police. That eventually led to the arrest warrant in question. However, police didn't have to pursue Gooding. He willingly met with them, hoping to clear up what he called "a misunderstanding".
Apparently, the actor's side of the story seemed convincing because the charges were later dropped. Although a hearing is still on for Friday, August 3rd, it doesn't look like Gooding will appear.
The real question on everyone's minds is whether or not the woman will pursue retribution in civil court. Everyone's hoping that isn't the case and Cuba Gooding, Jr. can get back to business as usual.
