LuAnn de Lesseps, star of The Real Housewives of New York City, knows a thing or two about going through a divorce in the public eye. After she became famous on the reality TV show, she had to go through the public humiliation of divorcing her husband of 16 years and father of her two children, Count Alexandre de Lesseps, amidst reports of infidelity. Recently, she shared some words of wisdom that she hopes The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star Adrienne Maloof, who just shocked everyone by announcing that her and husband Paul Nassif are separating, will listen to.
"The priority is always family. Don't let reality TV mess with your family," the 47-year-old mother of two said. Don't fall into the drama. Keeping time with your family and husband is precious — not being on your computer or your cell phone, and always remember the things that are sacred," she told Celebuzz.
Adrienne Maloof, at least from her reality TV persona, doesn't seem like the type of woman to get so caught up with fame that she would let it destroy her family. Most likely, she and Paul Nassif truly just aren't compatible personality wise. After all, she's rich and well-known enough prior to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to not have to go through a fake separation just for ratings. Still, she would be wise to listen to LuAnn de Lesseps, who has shown that it's possible to go through a public breakup with dignity.
