Justin Bieber may be a world-famous pop sensation—and a gossip column go-to, given his romance with starlet, Selena Gomez—but the "Boyfriend" singer's hair practically has developed a fan club of its own. He shocked many when he swapped his signature floppy swoop for a shorter, more mature cropped 'do. Now he's replaced that look with an even more grown-up and hunky, gel-perfect coif that's been likened to the hair once rocked by James Dean and even Elvis.
But it seems that maybe some of his hairspray has gone to Bieber's head, as he reportedly fired off quite a jab at none other than Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge—he of the thinning hair who obviously doesn't boast the same shock of thick strands as the Biebs.
"I mean, there are things to prevent that nowadays, like Propecia. I don't know why he doesn't just get those things, those products. You just take Propecia and your hair grows back. Have you not got it over here?" Bieber, 18, was quoted as saying, according to Hollywood Life.
Ooh.. those are some fighting words! Hopefully this remark wasn't somehow misconstrued or taken out of context, although it seems Bieber's message is coming through loud and clear, regardless if he was joking or not. While this teen heart-throb has also semi-accused another British boy, One Direction's Liam Payne, of copying his one-time hair flip, he may want to stay away from commentating on royalty.
Selena Gomez would probably agree that he should avoid such pointed opinions, especially given the intense shine of the spotlight on his every move. However, she's no doubt also glad that her guy has luscious locks—in spades. And while the Queen of Hearts may have shrieked "Off with this head!" in response to Bieber's insulting and decorum-lacking dig, Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, maybe would just sophisticatedly say, "Who is Justin Bieber?!"
