Nick Jonas is just one of the names that has been tossed around recently as to who will get to take one of the empty judge's seats on American Idol this coming season. Some thought it might have been just a rumor that a Jonas brothers' name would come up at just the right time. However, Mr. Jonas has confirmed those rumors to be true after all. He took to his Twitter on Saturday to say this, "The rumors are true... I am being considered to be a judge on American Idol, and it would be a dream come true if it happens. #nickonidol."
The 19-year-old sounds like he is quite thrilled at the concept of sitting at the judges' table as the next step in his musical career. Fans have also been overcome with excitement over the prospect of a Jonas brother gracing their TV screens twice a week. Since he put out his tweet, Nick has been encouraging his fans to audition for the competition. If things go well, American Idol producers are hoping to bring in a dynamic younger viewing audience.
Will the "Who I Am" singer be a good fit for the ever-popular reality show? He has certainly proven that he has a good head on his shoulders and seems to be a good judge of character. He is a very successful young man but is he too young to be considered for this job? Does this Jobro have enough experience under his belt? He is certainly wiser than some guys his age.
One thing is for sure, Nick Jonas will certainly not be offered $18 million for his first season. However, you can bet that he will be abundantly compensated just by living out his dream as a talented young musician, whatever he chooses to do. There should be an official announcement soon, so stay tuned for more American Idol drama.
Good luck to Nick!
