Joan Rivers has never been known as soft-spoken, so it is not really surprising that the comedian protested Costco for not selling her book, "I Hate Everything... Starting With Me." She even handcuffed herself to a shopping cart to prove her point! Oh Joan...you always have to make a spectacle of yourself, don't you?
The store manager of the Costco in Burbank, Calif. eventually called the police and had her escorted off the premises. Joan, however, didn't get arrested or receive any citations.
The family oriented company probably thought her
book was just a bit too racy for their customers. The Fashion Police host later told KTLA News that "People should have the right to have the literature they want." She even accused the company of acting like Nazis.
People can say all they want about Joan, but at least she's not afraid to stand up for what she believes in. She's never taken crap before, and she's not about to let a company like Costco get her down.
Do you think Joan went too far by handcuffing herself to a cart at Costco?
