Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are two names that have been heating up the gossip scene, perhaps now more than ever, in light of her cheating scandal with her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders. Now that the oohing and aahing over those shocking photos of the young actress and the married man is more or less over, the conversation has shifted back to all sorts of experts, "insiders," and "sources" speaking their piece about the pair. Some say they'll get back together, some say they won't, but all seem to convey the message that both sides are still pretty shaken up about the whole messy drama.
While Stewart may have lost a few pals (or at least have disappointed them with her less-than-scrupulous actions), by default, Pattinson has certainly won himself the sympathy of family and A-list friends, not to mention the sympathy of fans the world over.
He's reportedly been visiting his former co-star Reese Witherspoon's abode. And, now, even Katy Perry, who the Twilight couple was known to hang with at hip events like Coachella, has apparently reached out to the British actor and offered a shoulder for him to lean on.
Perry, of course, has been through her own tough break-up of late, what with her divorce from another Brit, Russell Brand. Recently, she's been hanging out and supposedly cozying up to John Mayer. But could she have her eye on another guy from across the pond, ahem, Pattinson?! Probably not. But that hasn't stopped her from offering that shoulder.
"She's been checking on him to let him know she's there for him. She's been through heartbreak this year, too," an insider revealed, as Perez Hilton confirms.
If all else fails, Robert Pattinson could always blast some of the songstress' hit tracks. "Wide Awake," "Part of Me," and "The One That Got Away" all seem rather appropriate for the situation.
