Robert Pattinson is impressing people for his discretion and restraint in not saying anything unkind about Kristen Stewart in light of her cheating on him with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.
According to a report from Hollywood Life, it's impressive watching Rob take the high road.
"Rob would never do anything to Kristen out of spite. He's too good a guy," a friend says. "It's not like him to want to hurt her."
Some guys would do exactly the opposite, however. They would act out of pain--lashing out and causing her even more pain than she's feeling already.
Rob and Kristen are scheduled to appear together in September at the MTV VMAs. They will be presenting an award together. That will no doubt be incredibly difficult for both of them unless something major evolves in their relationship between now and then. And if that something major winds up being a split instead of a reconciliation, it will make things even harder.
Still Robert Pattinson will benefit greatly from not having publicly berated Kristen. That will allow him to stand beside her and present a VMA with his head held high and the respect of his fans.
Of course Kristen Stewart might not fare quite as well, but then again that's at her very own doing.
