Liam Payne of One Direction fame is celebrating his fully functioning kidneys. Has the singer been ill? Has he been secretly suffering from kidney disease?
According to a report from Celebuzz, Liam reportedly was 'effectively dead' at birth, and as a result suffered from kidney ailments.
"From the age of zero to four, I was always in hospital having tests done, but they couldn't find out what was wrong," he said. "They discovered that one of my kidneys wasn't working properly and it had scarred."
A recent health check up revealed that Liam's kidney has healed itself, and the One Direction mate couldn't wait to tweet his good news.
"Just been for an ultrasound on my kidney turns out its fixed from when I was a baby!!!" he wrote on Twitter. ":o so now I have two :) #weirdnewsoftheday."
Band mate Niall Horan immediately took to Twitter in response to Liam's good news.
"well if ur kidneys working now... comin for a pint? Ahhaha I joke," he wrote.
There's no word yet if One Direction mates Harry Styles, Zayn Malik or Louis Tomlinson have thrown their two cents into the ring yet--but chances are if they haven't, they will soon.
Congratulations to Liam Payne on learning this positive twist of fate regarding his kidney. He'll learn as he grows older that good health is paramount to everything else he wants to accomplish or enjoy throughout his lifetime.
