Pink has bounced back to her old, brutal self after having a baby girl a year ago. The singer has always been an in-your-face love me or hate me kind of girl and is not about to get soft now. Like so many other singers before her, the new mom reveals she has been offered several different seats on various reality show judging panels. She is apparently in high demand.
The "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" singer admits, "I was offered The Voice in Australia plus American Idol and The X Factor." She isn't bragging. She almost sounds insulted by the offers. Obviously, she turned them all down. She explains, "I said no because you can't be honest. People will hate you if you're honest." One of the problems with those talent shows is the cookie-cutter comments that mean nothing.
Simon Cowell is certainly not one of the most loved judges in the world, but he is brutally honest and does have an eye for talent. According to Pink, "Simon Cowell is the only person who gets away with it because he's got an accent. And he's a man." If a female were to say some of the things Simon has in the past, it would come off as snaky or catty.
The singer can't help but make a little dig at the reality shows in general and snipes, "You can sing karaoke anywhere..." After taking a little break, she is working on new music and does not care to alienate any potential fans, "People would just hate me more than they already do."
It will be interesting to see Britney Spears and Demi Lovato's judging remarks when the X Factor airs. Will they irritate people with mean comments or try to be everybody's friend?
