Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner are definitely in danger of falling in with a superficial crowd as the teen queens grow up in the spotlight. So perhaps that's why their father Bruce Jenner decided to get the girls to befriend Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman.
Aly is obviously a very hard worker who has dedicated much of her young life to reaching a very lofty goal—winning a gold medal at the Olympics. Perhaps Bruce thinks that such an inspiring young woma
n would be a positive influence on his pampered princesses.
Bruce has stepped out of Kris Jenner's shadow to cover the Olympics for the E! network, and there's no better guy for the job —he competed in the decathlon and won it at the 1976 Olympics. He has now used his access to the athletes to find a new friend for his daughters.
Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner might be more interested in clothing and accessories than track and field, but perhaps becoming pals with Aly Raisman will inspire them to be a little more active. The gymnast is apparently a big fan of the girls, so she must have been thrilled to get this tweet from Kylie:
"woww!! @Aly_Raisman congrats on everything."
"come to LA soon so we can shop :D."
Kendall later sent her a similar message:
"congrats @Aly_Raisman!!! Come to LA so we can hangout girl!!"
Of course Aly was on cloud nine after getting such an invite, and she responded the girls by writing, "can't wait!!! We have to go shopping together. Well do damage!"
Hopefully she gets to go on that shopping trip—she's got to find the perfect outfit to compliment her gold medal, after all.
It would be nice if the girls would also invite Aly's teammate McKayla Maroney along for the trip—she probably needs something to lift her spirits after falling on her butt during her vault. Before the event everyone acted like McKayla was guaranteed the gold, but she ended up taking home silver instead. And now the poor girl has become an internet meme.
Perhaps Bruce Jenner needs to use his Olympic influence on some of the other members of his family—it's not looking like Rob Kardashian's lawyer dreams are going to come true, so maybe he needs to set his stepson up on a playdate with decathlete Ashton Eaton. Unfortunately he can't try to set Kim Kardashian up with the athlete since she's dating Kanye West (you know he would try if she was single).
Who knows? Perhaps Aly and the Jenner girls' friendship will turn into a new reality show for the gymnast. Fans loved watching the way her mom and dad reacted to her routines, so maybe E! should see if Gymnastics Parents could compete with Dance Moms.
