Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev have a lot in common with that other "vampire" couple Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Both couples met and fell in love on the sets of wildly popular fantasy entertainment projects that dealt with vampires. For Rob and Kristen, it was the original Twilight film and all the sequels that followed. Ian and Nina connected on the small screen's hit, Vampire Diaries. Apparently, there's something about portraying hot vampires that makes people...well, hot. Interestingly, despite their obvious attraction to each other both on and off camera, both couples played a bizarre game of "are-they-or-aren't-they-together?" with the media for a long time. Too long for most of their fans who wanted them to acknowledge that their private lives were imitating their art. In both cases, the fans' wishes were, eventually, fulfilled.
Just as RPattz's and KStew's Twihards once waxed ecstatic when the Twilight lovebirds finally stopped acting coy and went public with their romance, so Somerhalder's and Dobrev's fans rejoiced in April when they too finally admitted their love and commitment to each other. Awwww. On the other hand, going public as a committed couple seems to have jinxed the lovebirds formerly known as Robsten in a major way. So major that they're no longer a couple. So, does that mean that Ian and Nina are doomed to split like their Breaking Dawn counterparts?
Although no one can predict whether or not a relationship will last, a recent online poll put the question to the public. In response to the question: "Will Ian and Nina's love last?" a whopping 61.13 percent voted "yes." Only 38.87 percent voted "no," and no one was undecided.
So, there you have it. Do you agree that Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder will be one of those rare couples whose love will really last a lifetime? Although it's obviously a longshot, anything is possible.

Just because they do not flaunt their relationship does not mean that they are not together, and they are a lot more public about their relationship that Rob and Kristen ever were. So get your "facts" straight or quit publishing this crap!
