Ian Somerhalder may play a vampire on TV on CW's The Vampire Diaries, but he seems to be sympathetic to another fictional being. He seems to like zombies as well, and, for followers of his Twitter feed, fans might think Ian believes in some form of the undead.
It's not clear why, but Ian was in the company of 12 pre-teen girls and posted a photo posing with them on his social networking feed on Friday. His Vampire Diaries co-star and girlfriend, Nina Dobrev, was not pictured; perhaps she was chilling at home watching the Olympics.
So, what does a photo of a bunch of young girls have to do with zombies? The flash apparently caused nearly everyone in the picture's eyes to glow, and they all had a distinctive zombie look. This didn't escape Ian Somerhalder's attention because he captioned the photo "13 year old Zombie apocalypse."
Ian may or may not believe in zombies in real life, but it's apparent that he isn't the leader of a pack of undead kids. The picture's caption was merely a joke, but it is nice to see how Ian doesn't hesitate to give back to his fans.
