Did Taylor Swift's ex, Joe Jonas, recently diss her with a comment about her new song? The song is about an ex-boyfriend who tried to get back together with her. Joe says it can't be about him because, apparently, he never wanted her back. Ouch.
Although La Swift has kept mum so far about the identity of the guy in her new single, titled "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," the world continues to speculate about the mystery man. So who was it? John Mayer? Jake Gyllenhaal? Alas, no one knows except Taylor. However, one of her former boyfriends has already removed his name from the list of possibilities. That man is Joe Jonas.
Of course, Joe already bears the dubious distinction of having inspired two heartbreaking Taylor Swift ballads—"Forever & Always" and "Last Kiss." However, he swears he couldn't be the subject of her latest tune because "he and Tay never did the whole break up/make up thing."
"I don't think we've ever tried [to get back together] another time," Joe Jonas explained, "so I can tell you it's not about me. That said, I think the song is great. Taylor does pop music really well and I'm happy for her."
So, there you have it. That narrows the field considerably. Especially since Swift already dissed Mayer in a song called "Dear John," which reportedly left Katy Perry's new beau "humiliated." That leaves only Gyllenhaal and the other famous Swift ex, the Twilight heart-throb, Taylor Lautner.
The mystery continues. Stay tuned.
