Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have finally made their engagement official after months of tabloid speculation. The two regularly make headlines for breaking up, marrying or being pregnant, but this time, it is for real! Despite the happiness, the two are undoubtedly feeling there has always got to be a wrench thrown in somewhere.
This time, that wrench is coming from the National Enquirer. The rag mag claims the engagement was held up by Jennifer's insistence a prenuptial agreement be put in place, first. Apparently, Jen does not want to waste time on an engagement if Justin will not agree to a pre-nup. She has been burned once and is not looking forward to having it happen again.
According to the tabloid's source, the actress is, "working feverishly with her lawyers to hash out the pre-nup so she and Justin can marry by the end of the year." Uh-huh. A pre-nup is a smart move, but it is unlikely Jen would be so demanding. Besides, how exciting would a wedding proposal be if it was discussed like a business transaction? It is a proposal of marriage, not a marriage contract.
The so-called insider explains, "God forbid this marriage fails, but if it does, Jen at least wants the security of knowing she won't be wiped out financially." Hopefully, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux will have a happily ever after, but in this day and age of ridiculously short celebrity marriages; a pre-nup is almost a necessity. It isn't exactly romantic, but it is necessary.
