Unfortunately her look wasn't quite perfect, as her brightly colored suit was a bit on the bulky side. Aishwarya has sported quite a few Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla suits over the year (including a long black and gold number just before giving birth to her daughter Aaradhya and a white and gold sari at Cannes, pictured) but never looks quite right in their designs. Their creations are heavy and thick, not something a woman carrying a few extra pounds should be wearing.
But at least this suit was slightly more slimming than her past choices—Aishwarya's much-decreased waistline was clearly visible under the thick fabric and the arms were sheer. It's obvious she's lost a good bit of weight and she looked perfectly lovely and comfortable posing for the assembled press.
The event was well-attended, with Madhuri Dixit, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Gauri Khan all making appearances. Gauri and her husband Shahrukh Khan are featured in the book—their sizzling photo was leaked ahead of the premiere.
The premiere party, held at the Ambani residence in Mumbai, was part of a marathon of appearances Aishwarya is making this weekend. Shortly after the party she left for Kochi, where she was part of the inauguration ceremony for a new Kalyan Jewellers showroom. For someone who's technically taking a break from her career Aishwarya sure is a busy woman!
